Corona virus: 1,303 new corona cases reported

    The National Command and Operations Center said 47 people died of the corona virus in one day. Of those, 16 died on ventilators.

The NCOC said on Friday that 1,303 new corona cases were reported in 24 hours. The rate of positive corona cases in the country is 3.21%. The highest number of deaths due to corona was 21 in Punjab and 13 in Sindh. There were 9 deaths in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In addition, 1 in Islamabad, 1 in Azad Kashmir, 1 in Gilgit and 1 in Balochistan died of corona virus. The total number of deaths from corona in the country has risen to 21,576.
The NCOC said that 40,483 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours. The number of active cases of corona has risen to 43,618. The number of people recovering from corona virus is 873,543. The total number of cases of corona virus in the country has reached 938,737.
At present 3,094 patients are undergoing treatment in 639 hospitals of the country. In Peshawar 22 percent, in Multan 44 percent, in Lahore 26 percent and in Bahawalpur 24 percent ventilators have been filled. There are 28% patients in Karachi, 27% in Peshawar, 28% in Multan and 30% in Gilgit.
On Thursday, the Federal Ministry of Health clarified the strategy for getting the Pfizer vaccine.
A spokesman for the health ministry said the Pfizer vaccine would be given only to people with low immunity to prevent the coronavirus. This decision has been made in view of the agreement with Quix.
The federation has started providing phyto-vaccines to the provinces to prevent coronavirus. According to Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant for Health, the Pfizer vaccine will be administered in 15 cities across the country to people with weakened immune systems.
Pakistan has so far received 160,000 doses. Of these, Punjab will get 26,000, Sindh 12,000, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 8,000 and Balochistan 2,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine. One thousand doses will be given to Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
Dr Faisal Sultan said that the Pfizer vaccine would be available at the government vaccination center and the government would soon purchase more vaccines.
