The cure for suffering Articles - By Altaf Hassan Qureshi
It is a wonderful time for us that his
leadership is showing a more shameful pattern of chaos and disunity than the nation and great people are rising from
among us. Ghalib had written a lament
on the death of his nephew Zain Arif, one of whose poems is as follows:
As you
go, you will-meet on the Resurrection
day.
What a wonderful resurrection day!
Our
friend Shoaib bin Aziz must have had a similar experience when his younger
brother Nu'man bin Aziz went down to the valley of death laughing, playing and
speaking sweetly. Extremely polite, devout, and helpful to God's people.
When Shoaib bin Aziz was very close to Shahbaz Sharif, the Secretary of
Information and Culture in the Punjab Government and the Chief Minister of
Punjab, he did a great service to journalists.
If any of them were suffering from heart or cancer, the government would bear
the expenses on their recommendation. Little did he know that his younger
brother would be diagnosed with cancer and that he would not be spared death.
In those
days, our dear friend Mr. Hafiz Mohammad Idris was also deeply shocked. He has
spent his entire life preaching Islam
and following its teachings. His son Hafiz Haroon, who came from Germany with a
PhD in Library Sciences and was a professor at Sargodha University, also met his real creator at a young age.
Despite this shocking shock, the image of Hafiz Idris Sahib Sabroshkar
remained. In the midst of these moving news, I am reminded of the powerless SM
Hassan Al-Zaman, who recently made his name in research and has recently left
Darfani. He was the eldest son-in-law of Maulana Zafar Ahmad Ansari, a great
thinker of the Islamic world. He did valuable work on Islamic economics. He
holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and holds the position
of Director Research at the State Bank
of Pakistan. Have several meetings with them. There was a beautiful
combination of enthusiasm and sobriety in them.
Former
President of Pakistan Mr. Mamnoon Hussain, another rich and distinguished
personality of Pakistan, has also met the real Creator these days. He was born
in 1958 when one lakh delegates from all over India passed the Lahore
Resolution at Manto Park in Lahore under the chairmanship of Hazrat
Quaid-e-Azam. On this occasion, he devoted his life to the love of Pakistan and
adhered to the principles of honesty and integrity. He started his career in a
small business and by his hard work and by the grace of God Almighty reached
the highest office of the President. His greatest strength was being able to
stand with friends in difficult times. In the same vein, our dear friend Arif
Nizami has also moved towards Darbhaqa. He was the son of renowned Pakistani
journalist Hameed Nizami, who had the honor of launching Nawa-e-Waqt on the day
the Lahore resolution was passed. Quaid-e-Azam loved him dearly. After the
establishment of Pakistan, he played a leading role in the struggle for
democracy and civil supremacy. When the 1962 constitution was unveiled in
February, he suffered a heart attack and died at the age of about 47.
At the
time of his death, Aziz Arif Nizami was barely fourteen years old. His educated
mother Mahmooda Begum paid special attention to his education and training and
his uncle Majid Nizami guided him in practical life. He worked diligently for
the daily Nawa-e-Waqt and played a key role in the launch of The Nation.
Unfortunately, at one point he was ousted from the New Age and the Nation. At
that critical time, Mr. Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman extended his generous support. He
wrote a column in the daily Jang for
almost a year and prepared to publish Pakistan Today. Conscious classes watched
his thoughtful and balanced TV programs with great interest. A few months ago
he had a kidney problem, but he continued to cope with the situation in a very
dignified manner until the very end. His soul flew out of the elemental cage on
July 21, 2021. The vacuum created by his departure can hardly be filled.
Fearless, mild-mannered and
professional editors are not ready in a day. May Allah Almighty raise the ranks of all these deceased.
The nation was going through such traumatic events that suddenly my whole being trembled at the horrific details of the brutal murder of Noor Muqaddam, the daughter of a former ambassador. Women are being brutally killed by brutal men and our state is helpless. Darkness is overpowering the light and the killers escape punishment by shedding blood. The Islamic identity of the Pakistani state is in jeopardy and serious questions are being raised about the entire criminal justice system. Similarly, in the recent elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the brutality with which human dignity, political culture and transparency have been mocked and the issue of double referendum on Kashmir has been left behind has created great unrest in the nation. The conscious people of the society have a responsibility to sit together and find a cure for the sufferings of the people. To fill the vacuum created by the rise of great people, our colleges, universities and other training institutions will have to come up with a comprehensive strategy and stand firm against the atrocities against women. Similarly, for a just solution to Kashmir, aggressive diplomacy will be required. If we fail, nature will surely move to purify society.
